Job Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and dispatching routes to achieve contractual delivery times while minimizing costs. This role requires strong geographical knowledge of the UK, financial understanding, and operational awareness of team roles. Our ideal candidate will have working knowledge of driver hours regulations and be proficient in conducting remedial planning to manage live changes to the plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost-effectively plan and dispatch routes to meet contractual delivery times.
- Review route cost effectiveness through KPI analysis and take corrective action where necessary.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks.
- Liaise with line management to optimize the use of hire vehicles and sub-contractors.
- Escalate vehicle accidents and record defected vehicles as required.
