We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Secretary to join our team in the Short Stay Surgical Unit at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient care on the wards, completing thorough nursing assessments and patient feedback surveys.
- Participate in audits and supervise Trainee Apprentices, Trainee CSWs, and students, acting as a role model.
- Support the ward manager with length of stay and deliver and improve the quality of care on the wards.
- Work closely with a large multidisciplinary team, ensuring good communication skills to ensure a smooth and efficient patient journey from admission to discharge.

Requirements- First-level registered nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
- Post-registration experience in a surgical/acute setting is desirable.

- Working knowledge of the use of research in developing nursing care and clinical products.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, possess good interpersonal skills.
