Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drama educator to lead our Drama department as Head of Drama. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a reputable school in Westminster and contribute to the development of our students' artistic talents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Drama curriculum that aligns with the school's educational goals.
  • Lead and manage the Drama department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality Drama lessons and productions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement engaging and innovative Drama lessons that cater to diverse student needs.
  • Plan and coordinate school productions, performances, and events that showcase student talent.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
  • Support the professional growth and development of Drama teachers, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievements and progress, ensuring compliance with school policies and regulations.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialization in Drama or performing arts-related field.
  • Postgraduate degree in Drama or Drama Education (preferred).
  • Proven experience teaching Drama, preferably at the secondary level.
  • Strong leadership and management abilities, with a track record of success in leading teams and driving educational initiatives.
  • Passionate about promoting creativity and excellence in Drama, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
