Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children who have special educational needs, including those with challenging behaviour and mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual support to pupils with special educational needs, including those with autism and learning disabilities
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement behaviour support plans
  • Assist with the delivery of lessons and activities to support pupils' learning and development
  • Monitor and record pupils' progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as psychologists and therapists, to develop and implement support plans

Requirements:

  • Graduate or experienced teaching assistant with a degree graded 2:2 or above
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, including those with challenging behaviour
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and ability to work with children who have mental health difficulties
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
