We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Materials Planning Specialist to join our team at Brook Street NMR. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of raw materials into our manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with internal teams to plan and execute the procurement of raw materials, ensuring timely delivery and optimal inventory levels.
- Raise purchase orders for direct and indirect materials, managing supplier relationships and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Plan and execute supplier delivery management, expediting and re-planning deliveries as needed.
- Manage purchase order prices and delivery dates, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Update yard schedules for inbound and outbound bulk materials, ensuring efficient logistics and supply chain management.
- Resolve invoice queries related to quantity, price, and goods received notes (GRNs).
- Support supplier review meetings, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
- Plan and order safety stocks, working closely with manufacturing to understand run rates and forecast demand.
- Attend weekly Sales and Operations Planning (SIOP) and Sales and Production meetings, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Reconcile invoices against shipments, maintaining accurate records and communicating with finance as needed.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines and practices, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as required.
- Minimum three years' experience in manufacturing raw materials planning and purchasing.
- Proficiency in data entry using ERP systems, such as SAP or SyteLine.
- Supply chain experience, with a focus on procurement and logistics.
- Practical and physically active, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-starter with minimal supervision required, able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business or supply chain management.
- SAP experience, with a focus on procurement and logistics.
