Job Title: Assistant Manager, Investment – Financial Control (FTC)
Hours: Full time
Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in our Bristol officeSitting within Central Finance, this role is crucial to the Financial Control for our Places Investment initiative and supports a Business Partner who is Group Finance's front line into the business. Financial Control is fundamental to ensuring that we account for our Investment costs accurately, we are interlocked on the impact our Investment Initiatives will have on the Group's cost base and we are able to provide insight into the business on Risks and Opportunities to support key decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the financial control for the Group's branch strategy; focussed on delivering month end by making sure in month activity has been reflected accurately in the Project and General Ledger.
- Working closely with the Finance Business Partner to support forward forecasting and management of risks and opportunities.
- Drafting reporting to provide analysis and insight for the Finance Business Partner and Programme Contacts.
- Co-ordinating and delivering quarterly reporting to Tax and Group Cost Management.
Requirements:
- You will be have or be studying for an accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Be able to handle data and combine data from multiple sources - manipulating it in Excel through the use of pivot tables, SUMIFS and VLOOKUPs.
- Familiarity with SAP Accounting Software would be preferable but not essential.
