About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for collaborating with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to establish and maintain robust quality processes for key materials used in our customer's products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategy for meeting the program's quality requirements
  • Ensure customer requirements are met through establishing robust internal processes and providing engineering feedback where required
  • Manage and continuously improve an agile quality management system and team
  • Support FMEA activities and provide guidance to the inspection team
  • Create close working relationships with suppliers to ensure the development of safety-critical parts are robustly manufactured
  • Audit suppliers for approval or performance assessment of new and existing suppliers
  • Develop strategies to ensure visual carbon composites are in line with customer requirements while maintaining a right-first-time mentality
  • Utilize 8D principles for effective problem resolution and facilitate the resolution of complex, cross-functional issues
  • Collaborate with suppliers to develop product specifications that align with process capability
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Supplier Quality Engineer capacity
  • Ability to travel independently to visit UK-based customers twice a week
  • Background working in the automotive, motorsport, and/or aerospace industries
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawing requirements (GD&T)
  • Solid understanding of ISO 9001 requirements
  • Proven experience in face-to-face customer interactions

  • Experience working with composite materials
  • Background working in a low-volume/R&D, high-value product environment – especially high-performance vehicles
