Biomedical Scientist Team Leader Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Scientist Team Leader to join our dynamic Microbiology team at SYNLAB UK & Ireland. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing an efficient and effective Microbiology service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Biomedical Scientists in the provision of high-quality Microbiology services
  • Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with clinicians, hospitals, and occupational health providers to provide a complete pathology offering
  • Contribute to the development of new laboratory techniques and practices
  • Provide training and coaching to team members to support their professional development
Requirements:
  • HCPC registration and Specialist portfolio or equivalent in Microbiology
  • Management qualification to ILM level 3 or relevant experience
  • Excellent knowledge of laboratory information management systems and computer applications
  • Working knowledge of Microbiological manual and automated techniques and practices
  • Working knowledge of Molecular biology techniques and platforms
