Ecologist Leader Job Description

Are you ready to shape the future of the environment? We're seeking an experienced Ecologist Leader to join our dynamic Nature team at AECOM.

About the Role

As an Ecologist Leader, you will lead and support the preparation of high-quality bids and tenders for ecological services, oversee project work, and deliver consultancy and advisory services to clients. You will also support the development of our technical capabilities and reach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the preparation of high-quality bids and tenders for ecological services.
  • Oversee project work, ensuring necessary resources, budgets, and controls are in place.
  • Deliver consultancy and advisory services to clients, including through our check and review processes.
  • Support the development of our technical capabilities and reach.
Requirements
  • Experience of leading and managing ecological surveys, licensing, and impact assessments.
  • Experience in work-winning, managing projects, and leading stakeholder discussions.
  • Well-developed understanding of relevant wildlife conservation or habitat types.
  • Membership of an appropriate professional institution and evidence of working towards Chartership.
  • Excellent field skills in at least one specialist area, including protected species licenses.
