Health and Safety Manager Opportunity

We are proud to be supporting a leading manufacturer in their search for a Health and Safety Manager who will lead best practice in the operational team.

You will work closely with the senior team to ensure robust HSE processes are embedded in the core of the organisation.

As the business's subject matter expert for all HSE matters, you will business partner to embed best practice across the organisation.

There is a significant personal development plan on offer for the right candidate.

Occasional travel to a sister site in rural Suffolk may be required.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will act as Company Health and Safety expert, supporting the creation, implementation, development, monitoring, and review of safety arrangements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and enforcement of relevant safety rules and statutory safety requirements.
  • Responsible for the creation, communication, and implementation of safety initiatives.
  • Work with external advisors to ensure the business is working to current best practice for health and safety.
  • Act as chair of the Safety Committee, reporting to management.
  • Full in-house auditing of H&S systems and training.
