Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing and Inspiring Staff: Develop motivated, inspired, and high-performing staff to deliver exceptional curriculum delivery.
  • Transforming the Digital Curriculum: Transform our digital curriculum to position the College as the leading provider of digital skills in the region.
  • Delivering Financial Efficiencies: Deliver day-to-day financial efficiencies and agreed budgets.
  • Growing the College: Grow the College in the eyes of our students, governors, and employers and stakeholders across the city and the Southwest.

Key Objectives:

  • Modernise the curriculum to ensure relevance to the emerging digital landscape.
  • Introduce supplementary professional micro-credentials across our existing provision to ensure that students develop industry-recognised skills that make them highly employable to potential employers.
  • Develop a broad technical skills offer to meet the needs of the region's digital sector across AI and machine learning, cyber security, cloud computing, networking, data analytics, web design, software, and games development.
  • Implement an essential and developing skills offer to address the digital skills gaps and drive digital equity across the city and wider region.
  • Broaden our digital apprenticeship offer, developing both the traditional apprenticeship offer as well as an increased Higher apprenticeship offer.
  • Develop a culture of innovation and continuous digital evolution to ensure our curriculum and staff are at the forefront of the digital skills agenda.
