Job Summary:

The Commonwealth of Virginia seeks a highly skilled Senior Auditor to join our team. As a Senior Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct audits of various University departments to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and University policies.
• Develop and implement audit plans to ensure effective and efficient use of resources.
• Identify and report on audit findings and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with University officials to implement audit recommendations.
• Stay up-to-date with changing laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of auditing techniques and procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including spreadsheets and word processing packages.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active pursuit of a related professional designation, such as CPA or CIA.
• Knowledge of compliance issues and systems.
• General knowledge of computing systems and applications.
