Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Structural Inspector to join our team at Morson Talent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee structural repair and manpower operations.
  • Hold authorizations to the minimum level required by WMS, including third signature within own trade group as detailed in OP 1103.
  • Maintain technical currency and authorization through training programs and disseminated information.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on aircraft structural repairs, providing guidance where necessary.
  • Carry out aircraft structural repairs in accordance with published procedures and instructions.
  • Provide technical guidance on repair instructions.
  • Complete GOLDesp procedures in accordance with Wildcat Maintenance Support WMS OP 408, 100A-0409-01 series of publications.
  • Carry out damage surveys as directed.
  • Oversee overall management and control of support activities within his/her area of responsibility, ensuring tasking unit has all spares and tooling requirements prior to tasking.
  • Observe authorized tool control procedures (WMS OP 502) when carrying out aircraft structural repairs and associated tasks.
  • Ensure the general welfare and safety of all personnel during duty time on tasking.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment requirements.
  • Operate and maintain AGE and Hangar facilities as directed.
  • Ensure completion of GOLDesp procedures for all aircraft work in accordance with WMS OP 408, the 100A-0409-01 series of publications, and MAM-P.
  • Sign and coordinate all aircraft documentation up to individual authorizations held within REA.
  • Perform other aircraft or aircraft support-related tasks as directed by the appropriate Manager.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Served an aeronautical engineering apprenticeship or Service equivalent Trade Training.
  • Experience as a Lead Repair engineer within a repair organization, including composite repair activity.
  • Met the minimum criteria specified in WMS OP 1103.
  • A full understanding of all aspects of Military aircraft engineering and documentation.
  • A full understanding of Military aircraft operation in base and field locations.
  • Current and competent use of GOLDesp.
Estimated Salary Range:

£40,000 - £60,000 per annum.
