Job Summary:

Essex County Council is seeking a skilled and customer-focused UGO Bus Driver to join our team. As a UGO Bus Driver, you will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation services to our passengers, while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a minibus safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to passengers, including those with disabilities or special educational needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Adapt to changing business pressures and priorities.
  • Use a smartphone and/or tablet to access information and complete tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with passengers and colleagues in a customer-facing setting.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid driving license with a D1 entitlement.
  • Experience in working with customers from diverse backgrounds and needs.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm and professional approach.
  • Good communication and social skills in a customer-based setting.
