We are looking for a highly skilled Supply Chain Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the materials team with the control of goods inwards, delivery booking, goods receiving and any stock discrepancies.

You will also be responsible for preparing warranty parcels and arranging collection with courier, maintaining the safe and efficient storage of material and ensuring a good level of housekeeping.

The successful candidate will have good written and verbal communication skills, be able to represent HITACHI RAIL LIMITED in a professional manner at all times and have good team working skills.

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, plus benefits including 25 days holiday, pension scheme with contributions up to 9%, private medical insurance, personal accident insurance, group income protection and group life insurance.

Job Description

  • Assist the materials team with the control of goods inwards, delivery booking, goods receiving and any stock discrepancies
  • Prepare warranty parcels and arrange collection with courier
  • Maintain the safe and efficient storage of material and ensure a good level of housekeeping
  • Input materials data into the company's system to maintain material stock levels and delivery information
  • Assist with the management of the calibration process and ensure all tools have been calibrated to the correct standard
