Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our team in Oxford/London, UK. The ideal candidate will have a PhD, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of experience, in a healthcare data science field (bioinformatics, data science, epidemiology, or applied statistics).
Responsibilities:
As a Data Scientist at Nightingale Health, you will be responsible for:
- Working with large datasets to build models that predict people's future health risks and identifying how to prevent common diseases.
- Collaborating with other data scientists and software engineers in an agile environment to bring new discoveries into our products.
- Developing new analysis ideas and techniques, taking leadership in implementing them, demonstrating their efficacy, and promoting them within our team and beyond.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience working with human healthcare cohort data in the past, including data acquisition, cleaning, modeling, and interpretation.
- Proven ability to write high-quality data science code in R, Python, or both.
- A strong understanding of preventative medicine and screening concepts.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
