We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeping Manager to join our team at Pro Talent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality bookkeeping services to our clients. You will work closely with our Accountants, managing bookkeeping workflows, ensuring deadlines are met, and supervising junior team members. To be successful in this role, you will need prior experience working with accounting software, such as Xero and/or Sage, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. About the Role

This is a permanent position that is an integral part of our dedicated team, supporting an ever-growing number of clients. The primary purpose of this role is to provide high-quality bookkeeping services for our firm, working closely with our Accountants responsible for client portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage bookkeeping workflows on a daily basis, ensuring all client deadlines are met, staff are fully occupied, and jobs are being undertaken as efficiently as possible while maintaining high levels of quality.
  2. Undertake day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for clients, including data input, bank reconciliations, preparation and filing of VAT returns, and preparation of Management Accounts.
  3. Review all Management Accounts prepared by bookkeepers, giving constructive review points to staff ensuring high-quality, meaningful output to clients.
  4. Provision of high-level bookkeeping, planning, and advisory services to specified high-profile clients.
  5. Attendance onsite to troubleshoot for clients experiencing bookkeeping issues.
  6. Provision of bookkeeping training, coaching, and mentoring to less experienced members of the team to ensure a highly trained team at all times.
  7. Undertake any other duties which may be required by management commensurate to the role.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with Xero and/or Sage is essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in supervising and coaching junior team members.
