Job Overview

At Mitchell Maguire Recruitment Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor - Roofing Systems to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing various roofing systems, including bitumen membrane systems, single ply systems, hot melt waterproofing, and cold applied liquid systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate roofing projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and review project drawings, comparing construction drawings to tender drawings and documenting any changes.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring accurate and timely payment applications.
  • Collaborate with the project team to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
  • Provide expert advice on roofing systems, including pricing variations and changes in line with subcontractor parameters.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in Quantity Surveying within the UK roofing market sector.
  • In-depth understanding of subcontracts and schedule of rates (SOR's).
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Good understanding of technical drawings.
  • Quantity Surveying degree (desirable).
  • CSCS card (desirable).
  • High levels of organization and excellent communication skills.
