About the Role:
ProTalent Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Senior to join their dynamic team in Berkhamsted. As an Accounts Senior, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional accounting services to clients, working closely with the firm's expert team to provide innovative solutions and exceptional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and finalise client accounts, tax, PAYE, and VAT work, identifying areas for improvement and potential additional services.
- Interpret tax returns and financial accounts to facilitate effective tax planning, ensuring attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Proactively liaise with clients to obtain relevant information, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
- Monitor and record own chargeable time, ensuring maximum recovery and meeting agreed budgets.
- Support trainees through on-the-job coaching, developing their skills and knowledge.
- Assist with audit work, bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, and management accounts as required.
- Prepare client tax returns, advise on tax payable, and assist with accounts software and bookkeeping queries.
Requirements:
- ACCA/ACA qualified with at least 4 years' UK practice experience.
- Previous experience operating at Accounts Senior level, with a strong commercial approach and excellent client relationship skills.
- Aptitude to assist with business development activities, with a proactive approach and a willingness to go the extra mile.
- Strong IT skills and a passion for developing more junior staff.
