About the Role

This full-time position is for a HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist to work in the Cellular Pathology Department at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

The post holder will be responsible for participating in all activities necessary to deliver a high-quality service, working across various sections of the laboratory.

The role requires travel between sites during the working day, with opportunities for professional development and training.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Category A specimen dissection
  2. Embedding and microtomy
  3. Automated and manual staining
  4. IQC
  5. Immunohistochemistry
  6. Diagnostic cytology preparation and staining
  7. Audit

Additionally, the post holder will participate in andrology for fertility and post-vasectomy semen analysis, with full training provided where required.
