**Job Overview**: You will join our team as a Technical Lead, responsible for designing, developing, and shipping features to prevent money laundering, fraud, and terrorist financing.

**Key Focus Areas**: Our team focuses on several critical areas:

  • Developing a scalable, multi-tenant, cloud-based SaaS-first architecture.
  • Upgrading our DevOps tooling to ensure rapid code deployment with certainty.
  • Automating end-user and system actions using our Labyrinth RPA Workflow Engine.
  • Harnessing the power of Labyrinth Screening to process arbitrary data at any scale within broader financial crime, cybercrime, and national security solutions.

**Working with Us**: As a member of our team, you will:

  • Develop innovative software with a global impact, working across the software development lifecycle to build and deliver technology in a cross-functional agile environment.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, architects, UX, and QA specialists as part of the wider Ripjar engineering team.
  • Work closely with our Delivery team to provide deep support expertise for our growing customer base.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Ripjar's technology stack and development process.

**Requirements and Qualifications**: The successful candidate should possess:

We recognize that demonstrated expertise in all these technologies is challenging to find. We can work together to identify your strengths and provide necessary training to fill any gaps.

  • Familiarity with some of our core technologies: Node.js, React, Elasticsearch, Kafka, MongoDB, Redis. Proficiency in at least one programming language and experience evaluating new technologies.
  • Experience building and maintaining production software. A background in large-scale data processing systems and complex JavaScript or Python codebases is beneficial.
  • Technical proficiency throughout the software development lifecycle, with strengths in designing and developing high-quality software, finding and fixing bugs, and providing maintenance for production systems.
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain complex concepts, write clear code reviews, and document technical information.
  • Able to work hybrid from Cheltenham, Bristol, or London 2 days per week.
