Junior Field Service Engineer

Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a leading utility scale solar O&M company to recruit a Junior Field Service Engineer for its sites in West Cornwall.

This role offers a competitive salary of £30,000 - £36,000 DOE, a company van, and an excellent opportunity to transition into the utility scale solar industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with planned inspection and maintenance, learning about reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and resolution in a timely manner.
  • Carry out site survey requests as required.
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of electrical testing, High Voltage, and safety documents.
  • Ensure work output meets technical quality, reliability, cost, and productivity.
  • Comply with the company Health & Safety Policy.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualifications or equivalent.
  • Ideal experience in electrical installation/maintenance work in industrial, commercial, or domestic capacities.
Personal Qualities
  • A genuine interest in renewable technologies, such as solar PV and battery storage.
  • Ability to travel to sites in a field-based role.
