About the Role

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Commercial Expert

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Construction team in Northern Ireland, with responsibility for several major projects in England.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and manage project budgets, including cost code allocation for accurate cost reporting.
  • Review and administer main contracts and subcontracts, including stepping down conditions.
  • Procure subcontract packages, compiling tender documentation and ensuring transparent cost reporting.
  • Administer main contracts and subcontracts, including contractual correspondence for delays and associated loss and expense.
  • Regular liaison with the Employer's team to progress commercial aspects of the project.
  • Manage staff resources to ensure effective cost management.
  • Carry out delay analysis, preparing narratives and loss and expense to support claim submissions.
  • Handle subcontract issues and ensure correct variation/compensation event mechanism.
  • Forecast cash flow and budget compilation.
  • Liaise with procurement to set and agree allowances for the project.
  • Attend progress/commercial meetings and represent the company in a commercial capacity.
