Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Travel Consultant to join our client's team as a home-based travel management professional. As a Business Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to a wide range of business travelers, handling reservations and ticketing for air, hotels, rail, and car hire, and dealing with amendments, cancellations, and schedule changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver first-class customer service: Provide a polished and professional travel management service to clients, giving advice when needed and always going the extra mile to ensure they are offered the best and most effective travel solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Handle reservations and ticketing: Book flights, hotels, rail, and car hire for clients, and manage amendments, cancellations, and schedule changes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry news: Keep informed about industry developments that may affect clients and provide expert advice to ensure their travel needs are met.
  • Work autonomously: Manage your workload effectively and work well in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

  • Previous reservations experience: A minimum of 1 year's experience in a travel-related role, preferably in the business or leisure travel sector.
  • Experience with GDS: A good working knowledge of Global Distribution Systems (GDS) is essential for this role.
  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills: Ability to think critically and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
