Job Title: OB/Postpartum Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to provide high-quality patient care in our dynamic team at North Metro Knoxville Medical Center.

About the Role

This position involves working as part of a supportive team to deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing obstetric and postpartum procedures. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients, from routine deliveries to more complex cases requiring specialized care.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate assigned patients and develop individualized plans for care, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all patients.
  • Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of your registered nurse practice, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Promote patients' independence by establishing realistic care goals and teaching patients and families about their conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
  • Utilize your experience and judgment to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and achieve desired outcomes.
Requirements:
  • A valid associate's degree in Nursing and an active, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the United States.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification through either AHA or American Red Cross.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the OB/GYN field is highly preferred, with specific emphasis on labor & delivery experience and up-to-date AWHONN Fetal Monitor competencies.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year based on location and experience.
