Job Summary

As a Health, Safety, and Environmental Specialist at ATI, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement effective safety policies and procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Advise and train staff on health and safety practices, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties safely.
  • Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation and report any non-compliance to management.
  • Respond to incidents or accidents, conduct investigations, and report findings to management.
  • Ensure arrangements are in place for emergency evacuations and oversee the application of safe systems of work.
  • Support staff in compliance with contract requirements and promote active monitoring and participation.

Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably on a nuclear construction site.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
