About the Opportunity
Worcester Polytechnic Institute is seeking highly qualified candidates for a tenure-track faculty position in Artificial Intelligence. As part of our thriving Computer Science Department, you will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and teaching initiatives. This role offers an exceptional chance to collaborate with colleagues who share your passion for AI and related fields.The selected candidate will be expected to establish a strong research program, publish high-impact papers, and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in AI-related topics. Your expertise can include, but is not limited to, areas like Responsible AI, Machine Learning Operations (MLOps), Generative AI, Large-Language Models, Human-Centric AI, Data Systems for AI, Personalized Assistants, AI Education, Human-AI Interaction, and Multi-Agent systems. Additionally, we welcome experts in AI applications such as AI for Social Good, AI for Health, AI for Virtual Worlds, AI for Education, and AI for Science and Engineering Advances.
To be successful in this role, you should possess a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field, and demonstrate potential for excellence in both research and teaching. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of publications, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
