About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor with Prospero Teaching, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of educational settings. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee students, maintain discipline, and create a calm learning environment. You will implement lesson plans set by absent teachers, provide support to students, and ensure their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Management: Oversee students, maintain discipline, and ensure a calm learning environment.
  • Following Lesson Plans: Implement the work set by the absent teacher, making sure students are working on the tasks assigned.
  • Providing Support: Assist students with understanding the tasks, but not to the extent of teaching new concepts.
  • Ensuring Safety: Ensure a safe environment, handling minor behavioural issues and reporting any significant problems to senior staff.
  • Administrative Tasks: Mark attendance, distribute materials, and complete any necessary documentation related to the lesson.
Requirements

To be successful as a Cover Supervisor, you will need to possess strong organizational skills, classroom management abilities, good communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and adaptability. You will also need to have strong behavioural management skills to handle minor behavioural issues and report any significant problems to senior staff.
