Capio Recruitment Legal is seeking an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join their team in Lincoln, UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in private client law and be able to manage a varied caseload of wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, powers of attorney, and tax planning.

The successful candidate will be working with high-net-worth individuals, families, and vulnerable clients, delivering a high standard of client service throughout. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a caseload of private client matters, including wills, probate, estate planning, inheritance tax, and lasting powers of attorney.
  • Advising clients on the administration of estates, including intestacies and high-value, complex estates.
  • Providing tailored tax and estate planning advice, with a focus on preserving wealth for future generations.
  • Advising on the creation and management of trusts, both lifetime and will trusts.
  • Drafting a variety of legal documents, such as wills, trust deeds, and lasting powers of attorney.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring that clients receive an empathetic, responsive, and professional service.
  • Working closely with colleagues in other departments, including Court of Protection and Family, to provide comprehensive legal support.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in private client law. They will have a genuine passion for this area of work and the ability to manage a caseload independently while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Key requirements include:

  • At least 2 years' post-qualification experience in private client law.
  • Strong technical knowledge of wills, probate, tax planning, and estate administration.
  • Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail.
  • Empathy and strong interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Experience advising on inheritance tax planning and wealth preservation.
  • The ability to build lasting client relationships and maintain a high standard of client care.
  • STEP qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous but not essential.
