Drama Educator for Independent Schools

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Drama Educator to join our team at an excellent independent school in Westminster. As a Drama Educator, you will be responsible for building dynamic and interactive drama lessons that encourage students to explore their creativity, confidence, and communication skills.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Designing drama lessons according to the national curriculum for drama.
  • Encouraging students to explore their creativity and confidence through various activities and exercises.
  • Organizing school productions and fostering a supportive environment for students to develop their performance skills.
  • Assessing students' progress and providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborating with colleagues on cross-curricular projects and interdisciplinary learning.
  • Planning workshops and extracurricular activities that promote drama education.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience teaching drama at the primary or secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for drama and assessment strategies.
  • Creative approach to teaching with ability to tailor lessons to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Enthusiasm for the arts and a passion for nurturing students' performance skills.
