Mechanical Project Engineer (HVAC & Plumbing)

Red Rock Consultants is working with a reputable Mechanical Contractor based in the West Midlands, specialising in Air Conditioning and ventilation systems for retail, commercial, industrial, and leisure premises.

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join their dynamic team, due to client expansion and recent success in securing new mechanical projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the installation of HVAC and Mechanical Projects across the UK and Ireland.
  2. Conduct surveys, assist with bid proposals, and engage in contract negotiations.
  3. Keep clients and internal teams updated on project matters.
  4. Prepare Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS).
  5. Create Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
  6. Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and snag-free.
  7. Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ranging in value from £20k to £1m.
  8. React proactively and swiftly to challenges on and off-site.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in air conditioning, with knowledge of relevant legislation and market suppliers/equipment.
  2. Ability to manage full project lifecycles from inception to completion, including labour and material management.
  3. ONC/HNC qualification in Building Services (HVAC).
  4. Must hold a valid CSCS Card.
  5. Proficiency in working from CAD drawings.
