About the Role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Specialist to join our team, responsible for designing and implementing control systems for various applications in process factories.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in specifying and designing control systems, including PLC hardware requirements, instrumentation design, and SCADA design and configuration.

You will work closely with subcontractors, ensuring the provision of design information and compliance with relevant standards. A good understanding of PLC programming requirements and standard practices is essential, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

A key aspect of this role will be to analyze plant process, commissioning, and test data to identify areas for performance and efficiency improvements, and develop and maintain core reference design standards for all aspects of control system design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement control systems for various applications in process factories
  • Specify and design control systems, including PLC hardware requirements, instrumentation design, and SCADA design and configuration
  • Analyze plant process, commissioning, and test data to identify areas for performance and efficiency improvements
  • Develop and maintain core reference design standards for all aspects of control system design

Requirements:

  • Good quality degree in electrical or electronic engineering or a related discipline
  • Practical experience of equipment testing and a high level of computer literacy
  • Fluency in English, with an ability to speak French or German an advantage

Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum
