Are you a detail-oriented individual with excellent coding skills looking to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Coder at Hope Citadel Healthcare CIC, a primary care provider with a passion for delivering high-quality care to deprived communities.

The role of Clinical Coder is crucial in ensuring that patient records are accurately coded and up-to-date. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for triaging incoming clinical documents and letters, adding relevant codes to patients' records, and determining whether they require further action from GPs or other healthcare professionals.

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as 35 days annual leave pro rata. Our commitment to social justice, compassion, and community-driven change makes us an employer of choice in the NHS.

Job Responsibilities

  • Triaging and coding incoming clinical documents and letters
  • Determining whether documents require further action from GPs or other healthcare professionals
  • Adding relevant codes to patients' records in the clinical system
  • Participating in monthly audits and practice meetings
  • Liaising with outside organizations, such as hospitals and NHS111 providers

Requirements

  • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
  • Experience working in a GP Practice (desirable)
  • Previous SNOMED coding experience (desirable)
