Company Overview:
A leading healthcare provider, the Ministry of Defence (Defence Medical Services), seeks a highly skilled Dental Hygiene Therapist to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern, patient-focused dental practice that prioritises quality care and professional development.

Salary: £28,407 to £34,581 per annum, pro rata for part-time work.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will provide dental treatment, oral hygiene instruction, and education, while enhancing force generation and operational capability and minimising dental morbidity on operations. They will also be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support for the provision of dental care in other local DPHC sites or health fairs.

Main Duties:
Key responsibilities include:
• Undertaking Continuous Professional Development in core subjects such as medical emergencies, Infection Prevention Control, disinfection, and decontamination.
• Providing treatment in line with the scope of practice for dental hygienists as outlined in the General Dental Council publication 'Scope of Practice'.
• Delivering elements of dental treatment plans on prescription from a registered dentist in line with professional body guidance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) and hold a GDC-approved Certificate/Diploma in Dental Hygiene or BSc (Bachelor of Science) in Dental Therapy. A full United Kingdom driving licence and evidence of currency with GDC Continued Professional Development requirements are also essential.
