At EssilorLuxottica, we're seeking a highly skilled Regional Medical Science Liaison to join our team in the UKI region.



Your primary responsibility will be to promote our innovative ophthalmic solutions to optometrists, ophthalmologists, paediatrics specialists, myopia care private clinics, and dispensing opticians in the South West region.



You will be the key liaison between our company and these key stakeholders, providing them with a wealth of knowledge and expertise to support the appropriate use of our lenses and instruments for better patient outcomes.



Main Responsibilities:


  • Promote our Lens and Instruments towards specific targets through field visits, technical education in practices, medical congress symposiums, and training in universities.
  • Provide technical education to dispensing opticians and optometrists according to the needs of our sales managers.
  • Focus on developing the Stellest and Myopia Control category, recommending Varilux and Pal categories, and setting Precise Refraction as a new standard for eye exams.


Additional Activities:


  • Work closely with local Product Managers, regional Medical Education teams, and Sales Teams to establish a medical footprint for EssilorLuxottica in the UKI region.
  • Support net sales growth in your region for Stellest, Varilux, and VR 800 in coordination with the local sales leader.
  • Establish accounts targeting, field visits, and planning in collaboration with the Sales Director and Regional leaders.
  • Visit independent practices and key accounts following quarterly sales priorities.
  • Be 80% in the field, securing technical education for Varilux, Stellest, and VR 800.
  • Support the delivery of Virtual Classrooms on the Leonardo education platform.


Requirements:


  • Educated as an Optometrist (ideally) or Dispensing Optician with strong scientific/clinical and medical affairs knowledge, particularly in myopia management.
  • Several years of sales experience in practice or in the industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build networks and relationships.
  • Leadership skills: active listening and ability to convince key stakeholders.
  • Driven for results and autonomous.
  • Willingness to develop, being able to acquire and apply new skills, quickly adapting to new situations and requirements.
  • Driving licence required.
