About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Possession Planner to join our team at AmcoGiffen, a reputable engineering contractor operating nationally in rail, civils, and engineering markets.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for access planning and associated documentation for a busy portfolio of projects and framework remits. This will involve working closely with project management teams, construction management, and estimating teams to identify available possessions and optimize working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with project management teams on all access planning matters.
  • Work closely with construction management and estimating teams to identify available possessions and maintain project programmes.
  • Ensure possession, isolation, and protection requests are submitted in line with Network Rail planning timescales and relevant format.
  • Plan possession and protection arrangements.
  • Identify project risks and opportunities and participate in the management process.
  • Ensure all aspects of safety are considered when planning a project.
  • Maintain close relationships with other members of the planning job family and contribute to the transfer of best practice.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you will have previous experience as a Possession Planner or Safe System of Work (SSOW) Planner in a rail minor works environment. You will also require:

PPS planning access experience.PTS.Trained and certificated as competent as Controller of Site Safety (COSS).A good understanding of the Network Rail Rule Book and ability to interpret Sectional Appendices, Hazard Directory, and Environmental Assessments.A full British Driving License.
