About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to individuals with mental health needs, working closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive assessments and care plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualised comprehensive assessments and care plans to meet the needs of service users
  • Provide clinical and operational supervision to junior nursing staff and students
  • Manage depot clinics and ensure effective communication with service users, carers, and other professionals
  • Contribute to strategic service development and quality improvement initiatives
  • Support the team leader in establishing and maintaining effective inter-team and inter-agency communication
  • Provide effective liaison/communication throughout the care pathway to service users, their carers, and others

Requirements

  • RMN or Dip/Bsc (Hons) in Mental Health Nursing
  • ENB 998 / Preceptorship and Mentorship
  • At least 2 years of post-registration experience with at least one year at Band 5
  • Experience of working in a range of settings relevant to the post
  • Experience of working in acute mental health inpatient/day care services
  • Experience of working in situations or crisis and emotionally demanding environments
  • Experience and knowledge of safeguarding processes
