We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physics Technician to join our team at Academics in Sheffield. As a key member of the physics department, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining resources to support physics lessons, including practical work up to A Level.

About the Job:

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining equipment and materials, as well as supporting teachers and students during physics lessons. You will also be managing stock levels and ordering specialised equipment and materials for the physics department.

  1. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with students and staff, contributing to their success in physics.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a laboratory or educational environment, with a specialisation in physics. Knowledge of physics practicals, including A Level, and the ability to support complex experiments are essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of equipment and materials for physics practicals.
  • Support for teachers and students during physics lessons.
  • Stock management and ordering of specialised equipment and materials.

A valid Enhanced DBS certificate and a proactive attitude are required for this position. The estimated salary for this role is £104.50 per hour, based on industry standards and location.
