About the Role

This is a senior-level position that involves working with a diverse range of public sector and commercial clients across Scotland, ensuring the financial accuracy and compliance of the grants they manage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute grant audits, both remotely and onsite, to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and resolve queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare and review audit reports, ensuring that they meet the required standards and are free from errors.
  • Support and train junior team members, sharing knowledge on grant project rules and best practices.
  • Represent the firm at client meetings and contribute to business tenders, showcasing the firm's expertise and capabilities.
Your Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Be fully or part qualified (CA, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent) and have a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
  • Have a minimum of two years' experience in accountancy practice, ideally in audit, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Possess strong numerical, data analysis, and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Be commercially aware, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
