Job Overview:

Contract Scotland is seeking a seasoned Behavioural Safety Specialist to join our team on a large-scale highways project based in Glasgow. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in heavy civils and structural projects, with a deep understanding of behavioural safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Behavioural Expertise: Foster a culture of safety and compliance within the project team.
  2. Incident Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations into high-level incidents, accidents, and near misses.
  3. Civil and Structural Insight: Apply extensive experience in civil and structural projects to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
  4. Communication and Teamwork: Collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  5. Flexibility: Adapt to the dynamic needs of the project, including occasional weekend and night work.

Candidate Profile:

  1. Experience: Minimum 5-10 years in heavy civil and structural projects, with a focus on behavioural safety and investigations.
  2. Skills: Strong analytical and investigative skills, top set training preferred, excellent communication, and a proven team player.
  3. Qualifications: NEBOSH Diploma, NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Chartered.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with very occasional weekend or night shifts.
