Job Title: Advanced Physiotherapist - Acute Medicine and Respiratory

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Physiotherapist to join our team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. As a rotational specialist physiotherapist, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily clinical provision of physiotherapy within a particular clinical area, including assessment, goal setting, treatment, and discharge planning.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical training and support to junior physiotherapists
  • Take an active part in In-Service Training (IST) and external education to maintain standards of care in line with evidence-based practice
  • Supervise and support junior staff, including completion of inductions, appraisals, and supervision of students
  • Responsible for own clinical record keeping, including hand-written and electronic data recording
Requirements:
  • Health and Care Professions Council registered Physiotherapist
  • Honors Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy approved by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy/Health and Care Professions Council
  • Evidence of relevant postgraduate specialist clinical education
  • Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
  • Experience of team leadership, service development, and respiratory and on-call experience within an acute service
