Development Account Manager

We are seeking a skilled Development Account Manager to join our team at Benefact Group plc. As a key member of our commercial insurance sales team, you will be responsible for managing and developing broker relationships within a panel to generate sustainable and profitable growth. Your primary objective will be to proactively manage and develop these relationships to drive new business and retention, ensuring a high-quality sales process and long-term outlook. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of great customer outcomes and provide support to the Strategic Account Managers by creating a continuous feedback loop that feeds the delivery of regional account plans. Additionally, you will engage with colleagues across Ecclesiastical UK to leverage business relationships and ensure agreed strategies are implemented effectively. You will be responsible for acting within Ecclesiastical's risk appetite, targeting, winning, and retaining business in our core market sectors, delivering profitable growth in line with plan through prospecting, planning, and delivering agreed activity levels, delivering a high-quality sales process, driving profitable new business growth, and supporting the renewal process. You will also represent all areas of Ecclesiastical UK's Intermediated business, including Specialist Niches, Art and Private Client, Real Estate, and Schemes. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong track record in a commercial insurance sales role within the UK market, proven ability to build productive relationships internally and externally, excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, knowledge of tactical marketing campaigns, and ability to plan, prioritise, and manage your own work to deliver agreed objectives and meet targets. You will also need to have a proactive approach with a desire to continuously improve, be committed to delivering exceptional service contributing both as an individual and as an effective team member, and have an understanding of all relevant regulations to deliver good customer outcomes and an understanding of data protection and the importance of confidentiality.
