Job Description:

We are searching for a skilled and compassionate Teaching Associate to join our team at a prestigious SEN school in Ellesmere Port. As a Teaching Associate, you will collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for students with autism and challenging behavior.

About the Role:
  • Support the development of individualized lesson plans and activities that cater to the unique needs and abilities of students with special educational needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other specialists to promote positive relationships and outcomes for students with autism and challenging behavior.
  • Assist in the creation and adaptation of educational resources to ensure inclusivity and accessibility for all students.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate experience working in SEN settings, particularly with students with autism and challenging behavior.
  • Possess a strong understanding of autism spectrum disorders and effective strategies for managing challenging behaviors.
  • Exhibit patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
  • Be adaptable and responsive to the evolving needs of students and the school community.
Salary and Benefits:
  • £24,000 - £30,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
