At Arriva, our Bus Drivers are at the heart of the communities we serve, connecting our customers to what matters to them. As a key member of the Talent Acquisition Team, you will be responsible for managing candidate applications to ensure sufficient new hires into the business to meet our requirements.

This role will be offered on a hybrid basis (3 days in the office, 2 days at home) and initially on a fixed-term contract until Spring 2025.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Review candidate applications and shortlist CVs for initial selection.
  2. Conduct telephone screens to identify eligible and suitable candidates.
  3. Invite successful candidates to interview/assessment, ensuring maximum attendance and pass rate.
  4. Be an advocate for our Employer Brand and engage candidates in the opportunities.
  5. Support with the coordination and running of assessment days/recruitment events.
  6. Build talent pools through direct sourcing of candidates using online and offline channels.
  7. Act as the initial point of contact for candidates, answering any queries they may have.
  8. Respond to speculative applications and convert them into interviews.
  9. Ensure tracker and ATS data is accurate.
  10. Manage all candidate communications, ensuring timely, accurate, and professionally written correspondence.
  11. Refine and improve recruitment and system processes.
  12. Provide reports on recruitment activity as required.
  13. Contribute to the achievement of Recruitment KPI targets and SLAs.
  14. Ensure all candidates receive a positive experience of Arriva.
  15. Ensure all recruitment activity and record keeping is compliant with employment legislation and Data Protection.
  16. Work collaboratively with the team.
Requirements
  1. Previous experience in a similar recruitment role, dealing with high-volume workloads in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Experience of working to KPIs and targets.
  3. Confident verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Attention to detail and professional written and verbal communication skills.
