We are seeking an experienced ESG Research Specialist to join our team at SEI GLOBAL. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and developing ESG factors, as well as maintaining and enhancing stock selection processes.

About the Role

The ESG Research Specialist will work closely with our QIM team to support various equity portfolios managed by SEI GLOBAL. This includes proposing and substantiating new ideas, undertaking research, validation, back-testing, and production of ESG factors, as well as documenting and communicating the findings.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research (40%): Propose and substantiate new ideas; undertake research, validation, back-testing, and production of ESG factors; document and communicate the findings;
  • Automation (20%): Develop tools and strategies for constructing signals;
  • Portfolio Management (20%): assist in managing portfolios, ensure accuracy of all inputs and identify enhancement opportunities;
  • Communication and Client Service (20%): communicate clearly through face-to-face meetings, presentations and written publications; perform literature reviews and keep apprised of sustainable investing research; collaborate with client, operations and research teams;
Requirements
  • Expertise in quantitative analysis and dealing with large data sets;
  • Experience in a high-level programming language such as Python or R;
  • Experience with ESG data and familiarity with ESG regulations;
  • Ability to explain results and model features to non-technical audiences;
  • Hands-on attitude: willing to get involved with various projects across the group;
