The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering expert case management services, providing guidance on legislative requirements, and conducting fitness medicals and health surveillance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering expert case management services for referrals related to attendance, fitness for work, and other occupational health advice requests.
  • Providing guidance on legislative requirements and best practices related to occupational health.
  • Conducting fitness medicals and health surveillance in accordance with best practice and Health Partners' policies and protocols.
  • Assessing the outcomes of medicals and health surveillance, ensuring accurate fitness advice is provided, and escalating cases where clinically necessary.
  • Providing clinical supervision and support to other team members, such as OH Technicians.
  • Ensuring continued valid registration with the NMC and complying with NMC guidelines regarding professional conduct, clinical supervision, and continuous learning as a registered nurse.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (NMC Part 1)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health (Degree or Diploma)
  • Current Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration
  • Strong written skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communicator, capable of engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities
  • Clear understanding of personal competence and the ability to escalate or seek support when needed to ensure safe practice
  • Proficient in IT and digital systems
  • In-depth knowledge of data protection and confidentiality principles within occupational health practice
