Job Description

As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in producing accurate and timely consolidated management accounts, assisting the Finance Manager with budget variances, and maintaining the nominal ledger coding structure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality management accounts to agreed deadlines, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Manager to investigate budget variances and provide insightful analysis.
  • Reconcile balance sheet control accounts, including bank reconciliation, accruals, and prepayments, to ensure financial integrity.
  • Maintain the nominal ledger coding structure, ensuring all transactions are correctly coded.
  • Provide expert advice to budget holders on routine accounting matters.
  • Support the Finance Director and Finance Manager in producing consolidated year-end accounts and cashflow forecasting.
Requirements
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A keen attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
