Senior Medical Lead for Older Adult Mental Health Services

This role presents an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership position within our multidisciplinary teams, providing care to older adults with mental health needs across Waltham Forest. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in our Adult Community Service, you will be responsible for delivering senior medical support and guidance to the team.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in older adult mental health and a strong track record of providing high-quality patient care. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including a Consultant Geriatrician and Specialist Grade Doctors, to develop and implement effective treatment plans. Additionally, you will participate in the on-call rota and contribute to the overall success of our service.

In this role, you can expect:
- To work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing care to older adult individuals with mental health needs.
- Deliver senior medical support and guidance to the team.
- Collaborate with external providers and acute hospitals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in the on-call rota, with a Category A on-call supplement (pro-rata).
- Support your peers and team leader, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around £120,000-£150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This role is a fixed-term contract, offering a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on our service and community.
