Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Location: Office-based, with site visits across East Anglia

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team at a Main Contractor based in East Anglia. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and variance analyses
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Full driving license
  • Sound financial knowledge of frameworks, schedules of rates, and contracts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical, financial, and numeracy skills
  • Strong IT skills
