We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our UK-based Environment, Sustainability & Planning (ESP) team as an Associate or Associate Director grade consultant. This exciting opportunity will support the continued growth of our business and provide a chance to progress your career with a leading global consultancy.


The ideal candidate will be a broadly skilled and talented individual with experience in conducting and managing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) across a range of projects. They will have a strong understanding of environmental laws, regulations, and guidelines related to EIA/EOR processes and compliance.


Responsibilities will include providing technical and commercial leadership within the team, senior management and direction of the EIA/EOR process for various projects/sectors. The successful candidate will be supported by other senior team members across ESP and will play a part in nurturing and developing our junior staff.


Key areas of focus will include:



  • Project Management and Direction: leading and overseeing multiple projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards;
  • Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Outcomes: co-ordinating comprehensive and robust assessments of potential environmental, social, and economic impacts associated with proposed projects;
  • Team management and leadership: working alongside the Head of EIA & Natural Capital to provide technical and commercial expertise, and being engaged in leading weekly virtual team meetings and quarterly in-person events;
  • Business Development and Client Management: bringing a demonstrable knowledge of and recognised profile in at least one development sector, and taking ownership of business development and client relationship management in a specific sector or geography.

The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively. They will also have a strong understanding of project management and direction skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
